Step 1: Create a Facebook Page

Start by going to Facebook and creating a new page. Set the page name as your persona’s name—for example, “Jane Smith’s Persona.” You’ll be asked to choose an industry; feel free to select any option that fits, as this won’t affect functionality. The bio section can be left blank for now.

Step 2: Authenticate and Connect Once your page is created, return to the Persona platform. Click the Select Pages dropdown and choose the page you just created. If you want to connect more than one page, you can click Connect More Pages to add additional ones.

After selecting the appropriate page(s), your AI persona will be linked and ready to respond to messages sent via Facebook Messenger.

Important Notes:

If you already have a Facebook page, you need to think if you want the persona to auto-respond to ALL messages. If you never use Facebook to engage with users personally, then we recommend using your existing page as your users will now always get response. If you sometimes use this Facebook page to reach out to users, then only use the new page you created. Only connect your main page if you do not actively engage with your audience there.

If you get stuck, try the following:

  1. Ensure you have Admin access to the Facebook page you are trying to connect.
  2. If the page does not appear, refresh the list or log in with the correct Facebook account.
  3. If the connection fails, try disconnecting and reconnecting.
