Debate

The Debate item in an agenda is designed to enable dynamic, interactive discussions with users. It starts with an initial question and allows the persona to ask follow-up questions based on the user’s responses, creating a natural, personalized conversation flow.

How to Set Up

  1. Navigate to the My Persona section in your dashboard and select the Agenda tab.
  2. Create or edit an agenda and add a new item.
  3. Choose the Debate type for the agenda item.
  4. Configure the following settings:
    • Starting Question: Define the initial question that kicks off the discussion.
    • Dynamic Starting Question: (Optional) Provide instructions to generate a starting question based on the conversation context or previously collected outputs.
    • Number of Follow-Up Questions: Set the maximum number of follow-up questions to ask the user.
  5. Save and publish the agenda.

  • Condition Logic: Define when this agenda item should be triggered or skipped. Learn More
  • Communication Mode: Choose how users interact with your persona. Learn More
  • Outputs: The Debate agenda item comes with a default summary output. You can also add custom inferred outputs of your choice to extract structured information from the discussion. For example, if you use a debate for a job interview question like “Tell me how you handle a difficult customer,” you can set up an inferred output to analyze the user’s response based on criteria you define.
